Quick and Easy Halloween Nail Art

Boo! With Halloween just a couple of days away, we got our resident celebrity nail artist Gerry Holford to create some amazing quick and easy Halloween nail art. The best part? You can do them at home! All you need is some spooky colors, and a couple of basic tools like a nail art pen, striper, and dotter.

Frankenstein nails

  1. Paint nails with two coats of bright green polish.
  2. With a black nail art pen line across your cuticles and then draw a few V shapes and fill it in.
  3. The draw the eyebrows and mouth.
  4. Next, with a large dotting tool, dot on the eyes.
  5. Apply quick dry drops, wait five minutes and then apply a shiny topcoat!

Skull nails

  1. Paint nails with two coats of white polish.
  2. With a black striper, paint a thin line down both sides of the nail. Towards the tip, paint the corner and fill in (like lambchop sideburns!)
  3. With a nail art pen or the striper, paint a line for the mouth and add three vertical lines.
  4. Paint two small lines for the nose.
  5. With a large dotting tool, use black polish for the eyes. Get the elongated shape by using the side of the dotting tool.
  6. Apply quick dry drops, wait five minutes and then apply topcoat. You can even use a matte topcoat for a dull effect!

Spider nails

  1. Paint nails with two coats of your favorite orange polish.
  2. With a large dotting tool and black polish, paint the body of the spider by loading black polish onto the dotter and with the side of it begin rolling the circle, gliding it around rather than pressing it in.
  3. With a black nail art pen, draw the web line towards the cuticle and spider legs.
  4. Use a dotter and white and red polish to make the eyes.
  5. You can also use the pen to refine any edges of the spider’s body.
  6. Apply quick dry drops, wait five minutes and then apply a shiny topcoat!

Graveyard nails

  1. Paint nails with two coats of light purple nail polish.
  2. With black polish, paint the tip of the nail.
  3. Now, paint the tombstone by using black polish; paint a strip down towards the black strip then create a curve at the top and paint down again.
  4. With a black nail art pen or stiper, make the cross.
  5. With grey polish and a small brush, draw two lines for the tombstone inscription and use a large dotter for the moon.
  6. Apply quick dry drops, wait five minutes and then apply a shiny topcoat!

Blood drip nails

  1. Paint your nails with two coats of a flesh-toned polish.
  2. With red polish, paint a strip at the tip of your nails, tapping it on vertically.
  3. With a dotting tool make your drips by dotting the red polish then dragging it up towards the red tip.
  4. Apply quick dry drops, wait five minutes and then apply a shiny topcoat!
