Vegan Nail Polish

For those people who make the choice to go vegan, finding cosmetics that fit their lifestyle can sometimes be tricky. Thankfully, the nail industry has made leaps and bounds in veganism, and there are plenty of vegan nail polish brands to choose from.

What makes a polish vegan? The first thing is whether or not the brand tests on animals. Who still tests on animals in this day and age?! Sadly, some brands do, and shame on them, but plenty don’t.

You also need to keep an eye out for certain ingredients. If your shade of choice is metallic or shimmery, look out for pearl or guanine – this is fish scales that have been treated to achieve that shimmer effect. Many cruelty free brands use mica instead to get their metallic effect.

If you’re ever unsure about a brand, simply reach out to their customer service for clarification, or you can contact us and we’ll get the answer for you. These are some of our favourites that we know bring the colour without the cruelty!
