You may not know it but today is a very important day in the United Nations calendar – World Environment Day! It comes around every year on June 5th and is a day used by the United Nations to encourage worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Each year there is a theme and this year’s is “Connecting People to Nature”, so we have rounded up our favorite Pinterest manicures that inspire us to connect to nature.
The theme of connecting people to nature encourages people across the globe to get outdoors into nature, celebrate and appreciate its beauty and importance and then take on the call to protect the earth for the future. What we love about this theme is that even in our team, everyone celebrates their nature differently because of where we grew up and how we spend our time. So, whether (like the Aussies in the team), your nature is the beach, or the woods, or the snow or anywhere in between, read on for our favorite nature-themed manicures to rock this World Environment Day!
As an Australian, my favorite way to celebrate nature is to go to the beach (stereotypical I know but the beaches down under are pretty glorious), so this manicure is the PERFECT way to embrace nature for me!
If a tropical beach is more your thing, then this palm tree tutorial is perfect for you! Palm trees, golden sand and a cocktail is a recipe for perfection to celebrate the outdoors.
Most people have the Northern Lights (aka Aurora Borealis) is something on most people’s bucket list, a true spectacle of nature. What better way to celebrate what our world has to offer than this incredible show created purely by nature.
This watercolor marbling tutorial creates a gorgeous earth themed manicure, a simple and effective way to celebrate World Environment Day.
While this wintry manicure isn’t really aligned with the weather at the moment, it does celebrate another side of nature with the gorgeous forests and snow.
So, what is your nature and how will you be celebrating it this World Environment Day? Will you be rocking any of these amazing manicure looks to help celebrate the places that matter to you? Let us know on social media @PedicureDotCom!
