cityMANI – For The Busy City Girl

You’re at your desk, thinking about that fancy party you have to go to after work, when you notice it…a chip. Or your schedule is so packed that you barely have a second to stop for lunch, let alone a visit to the salon. Or you realise it has now been two months since you caught up with your girlfriends, because everyone is as busy as you are. City life, right? Crazy.

This is where Erika London and Cari DeCoons saw a gap in the market and ran with it. Busy women can now get some of the best manicurists in the city to come to their desk, their home, or their happy place with the new service cityMANI. “Whether you’re a workaholic, socialite or busy mom, finding the time to go to the salon and treat yourself is something that often falls to the bottom of your to-do list,” says cityMANI co-founder, Cari DeCoons. “With the click of a button, cityMANI will bring a quality manicure directly to your fingertips.”

This is one of those ‘why didn’t I think of that ideas’ that just needs the right people to execute it. Enter: one of the top manicurists in the country, and pedicure.com regular Gerry Holford. Holford is training all the manicurists up to her impeccable standards, so you know the girls are going to be good.

So where did the idea come from? Co-founder Erika London spills the dirt, “After working in events, production and hospitality for the last 10 years and always having a bottle of polish in my bag for touch ups and quick fixes before events and meetings, my partner Cari and I realized that we weren’t the only busy women constantly facing a mani-emergency!” It has been a busy couple of months for Erika and Cari since launching in June, so what has been the highlight so far? According to Erika, “…the highlight has definitely been seeing people as excited and receptive to the concept as we are!”

CityMANI isn’t just a solo treat though. This is a brilliant idea for bridal showers, girl’s night in, client events, or even kids birthday parties. CityMANI will come to your destination of choice stocked with a full range of colors from CND’s line of long-lasting VINYLLUX nail polish. AND if you want to get altruistic, you can add a cityMANI station to your next fundraiser, charity event or run/walk event and raise money with every manicure. Something we can definitely get behind.

Not in New York? Erika has good news for you…“we are planning on spreading to different cities! Miami and LA are next!”
