The 90s are back with Hard Candy Nail Polish

The 90’s are making a major comeback with the launch of the Hard Candy 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Collection. Some of our readers will remember in 1995 when Alicia Silverstone brought the brand to fame by wearing ‘Sky’, a custom-shade of the brand’s pastel blue polish on the Late Show with David Letterman. Hard Candy made a name for themselves as a brand known for their edgy polishes in colors that were very non-traditional at the time. Most of you however will remember Hard Candy as the polish that came with matching plastic rings, the height of 90’s cool! (Maybe a slight exaggeration but as a child they were pretty up there!)

Hard Candy relaunched in 2009, but it didn’t quite reach the success of the 90s (mainly because there were no rings, in my opinion). I for one am extremely excited for the relaunch of some of the most popular 90’s shades, rings included. The full collection is available exclusively at Walmart, with the 8 polishes (including ‘Sky’ woohoo) in their original packaging, rings and all, for only $4. An absolute bargain and a hit of nostalgia all in one! When discussing the new range, Stu Dolleck (President of NuWorld Beauty, the manufacturer of Hard Candy) told the New York Times “We’ll be bringing back some of the top 90’s shades. I can guarantee you nostalgic women who would never go to Walmart otherwise will be there on opening day.”

If you need us we will be at Walmart buying all 8 colors.
