It’s like how you wear primer under your foundation – it helps your foundation sit better on a smooth canvas, and not come off as quickly. You don’t wear primer? Ok we need to talk. It also means your nail polish comes off easier when the time is right – less scrubbing and cursing. If you’re in a hurry you can always skip the top coat, but base is a must. Your nails will thank you when they aren’t stained and yellow.
