Get The Look: Michael Kors Spring Fling Nails

Celebrity manicurist Gerry Holford gets to have some seriously cool adventures, working on major brands and tending to the talons of the rich and famous. She’s giving us a behind the scenes look at her life, and some of the secrets from on set.

In November of last year, just as the air was getting a chill in New York City, I was flown out to sunny Santa Barbara, CA to The Bacara Resort and Spa to shoot the Michael Kors Spring 2014 Catalogue.

The Bacara is a world-renowned spa destination, and Santa Barbara is like heaven on earth! I arrived, unpacked, got a few hours sleep, and before I knew it I was on location at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club painting nails for some of Kors’ most popular faces. For the next week I worked with Karmen Pedaru and Oksana G, as well as some pretty hot male models!

Nails were kept at a sporty length and in classic colors. I used Hint and Desire from the new Michael Kors nail lacquer collection ($18 – stocked exclusively at Macy’s). I am so pleased to share my work for Michael Kors here at pedicure.com and I hope you continue to check in for updates on my Behind the Scenes column and for my pro picks and tips!
