We have all heard of Shellac Manicures, many of the Pedicure Team are obsessed with being able to keep a manicure chip free and glossy for at least two weeks. Amazing! But, there is a new manicure making waves in the salon world, claiming to deliver the same result without UV lights. It’s called SNS polish and it is a nail dipping system that results in manicures lasting the same amount of time as Shellac manicures. Intrigued? Read on!
The company boasts that SNS polish is a dipping system that is natural and healthy for your nails, it involves using a dipping powder that has no odour, no liquid, no primer and no UV light. The dipping system creates a manicure that is much thinner and lighter on your nails, allowing them to grow stronger and healthier during the manicure because of the calcium and five different vitamins that are in the powder. The powder is also Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP free. Pretty impressive for a long-lasting manicure!
The process of getting an SNS manicure is quite simple, it uses a brush-on gel base then you dip your nails into your chosen colored powder and set it with a liquid seal. Voila, you have a chip-free, glossy manicure that lasts for 2 weeks! And, removing the manicure only requires you to soak your nails in acetone remover for 10 minutes. It sounds like magic to us! The powder consists of organically-processed chemicals, Benzoyl Peroxide, Titatum Dioxide and Acrylic Ester Polymer, to strengthen your nails over the two week period.
There are a number of benefits to using the SNS system. It looks natural! This is because it is thinner than getting shellac or acrylic nails and it comes in more natural looking colors. It is strong, but also lightweight and flexible. It doesn’t require UV light to bond it to your nails. Lastly, the product itself causes no damage to your nail, however you can cause damage by not removing it properly.
