Not that this should come as any surprise to you, but here at the Pedicure office we LOVE nail polish (duh our job is to write about it!) But sometimes we get bored of using the same brands over and over again. Sorry OPI, Essie, Sally Hansen etc. but there are times when we want to branch out from the big-name polishes. Which is why we want to share two of our favorite polish brands from across the globe.
Australia- Kester Black
As most of the Pedicure office is Australian, we have a lot of love for the polish brands from back home. A recent favorite is Kester Black. his All-Australian brand was founded in 2012 and is committed to providing professional quality products that use sustainable production methods and the brand has CCF (Choose Cruelty Free) and Vegan Society accreditation. They guarantee that their products have never been tested by animals (at any stage of the production process) nor do they contain any ingredients derived from animals. Not only that but their polishes are a 5-free formula. We just love their color range, with some of our faves shades being Gold Digger by Trophy Wife, Buttercream and Peach Melba. Each polishes retails for $20 AUD (roughly $14 USD) and they are available for purchase from the US via Seed to Serum and Nasty Gal.
You may have heard of Korres, the Greek skincare brand as it’s available at Sephora (Editor Mette LOVES their Wild Rose sleep facial), but they make amazing nail polish as well. George Korres started the brand in 1966 with the philosophy of using the highest quality natural and/or certified organic ingredients. Their skincare products are hugely popular across the globe, but many people have never heard of or seen their amazing polishes. Our favorites include Sparkly Red and Dreamy Grey, which both contain pro-vitamin B5 and oligo-elements for nail health. You can buy them via the HSN shopping channel in the US or if you are travelling overseas you can go to one of their stores.
