In The VIP Chair: Bloom Spa Hoboken Salon Review

In The VIP Chair salon reviews pedicure.com

The last days of summer always seem to be the most hot and humid, the day of my review was no exception. I literally wanted to escape the heat as I came across Hoboken salon Bloom Spa on my way back from lunch with friends. I walked in and immediately felt the cool air blasting from their A/C. Talk about a greeting – three people in a sing-song tone directed me to choose a color and before I could say I wanted a mani/pedi the tub for my footsies was filled ready for me to begin. In some salons you are lucky to even get a hello so this was a great start. I looked around and was impressed with how clean and spacious the salon was, with 6 pedi chairs and 7 mani tables and mostly filled with clients enjoying the cool environment as much as I was. There was also a small hair salon that didn’t have any clients during the hour that I was there, but you never know maybe it could be good for a quick blowout.

My nail technician was as meticulous as they come and gave me an extra long massage after she could see that the massage functionality on my pedi chair was broken. Hmm not sure what gave it away the embarrassing squeaks that came from the chair or my determination to get it working. I soon gave up and settled for the hands on approach. I hadn’t had my signature red on my toes all summer so to pay homage to the last days of summer I went with OPI’s ‘Big Apple Red, it look fabulous and still does 6 days later. My fingers needed a more pale tone so OPI’s ‘Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around’ was my choice, and again 6 days later not one chip in sight. Impressive you say, yes I agree and definitely worth a trip across the water to this Hoboken gem.

Until next time,

Ruth
