The team here at Pedicure were devastated to hear about the passing of Talia Joy Castellano yesterday morning. Talia was a shining light in the beauty community – a vivacious and insanely talented make up artist and nail artist, who at just 13 years old has sadly lost her 6 year battle with cancer. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends, as well as all those whose lives she brought joy to through her videos and posts. The beauty of the digital world is that while Talia is gone, her memory will endure forever through her digital footprints.
While her last weeks were spent in hospital, Talia still maintained her trademark spark, and her last instagram post was of her mint green manicure. Nicole over at Nail Polish Wars is leading the charge for the beauty community to all turn their nails mint green this Friday in memory of Talia. When something tragic like this happens, it’s nice to be reminded of the community spirit that exists amongst like-minded people on the internet. I’m sure Talia would be pleased.
